Networking
a.
Identification of the most important organisations/contact
persons relevant for the identification of potential national investments
needs and priorities (on the Tisa catchment) for the TRB-SDP (concerned
ministries, local governments, businesses, major NGOs, research institutions
etc.) – is under development – February 18, 2002.
Central Government
§
Ministry of the Environment of Slovak republic (Contact:
Zdenka Tothova, Deputy-Minister; meeting is scheduled on March 13, 2002);

Ministry of Construction
and Regional Development (Contact: Peter Ťapák, State Secretary of, Bratislava; meeting is scheduled on March 14, 2002)

Ministry of Soil management (Contact : Ing. Marian Supek, Director of the
Department of Water Ways; meeting is scheduled on March 12, 2002).
b.
Presentation of the concept of the TRB-SDP, and the
role of the current project, via telecommunication and in personal meetings
to the contact persons –
- Several personal meetings with related persons
were organized, as follows:
30 regional
development individuals from Hungary, Poland, Ukraine, Romania and Slovakia,
during the Integrated Rural Community development Training organzied
by Carpathian Foundation, Bardejovske kupele, February 18 – 21, 2002

Organisation of the initial national workshop of the
representatives of potential stakeholders –
§
national workshop was held in February 6 -8, 2002 (co-organized
with NGO People and Water, LITUR, SITUR micro-regional associations,
County offices in Levoča nad Sabinov town) . (attached list of participants and workshop resolution)
§
2nd national workshop (covering whole Tisa watershed in
Slovakia) will be organised in March
27, 2002 in Kosice , inviting the key stakeholders and presenting the final draft of the country report and at
this meeting )
An application to support
the second national workshop was submitted in the Slovak Carpathian
Office for a grant in amount
1 250 USD. The application was submitted on the behalf of NGO “People
and Water”, Kosice, which agreed to support organisationally the activities
of the NC.
d.
Identification of the NFP representative(s) – to
be reported by February 28.
The NFP nomination will be appointed
on the scheduled meetings with representatives with Ministry of the
Environment, Ministry of Construction and regional Development, Ministry
of Soil Management in Bratislava March 12 – 14, 2002.
e.
Identification of the possible partners (governmental, business, NGO,
academia representatives/experts) for the final identification of the
national investments needs and priorities in the TRB-SDP – to be
finished by February 28.

f.
Identification of national participants for the closing
international conference, (- to be finished by February 28) assistance
to the organisation of the conference.
The nomination for the closing
international conference which will be held in April 25, 2002 will be
done on March 27, 2002 during 2nd national
workshop.
3.
Mapping (December 2001-March 2002)
a.
Identification of the sectors relevant to the development of the TRB-SDP
in the Slovakia.
The list
of most important local stakeholders
(see the conference participants list)
b.
Identification of potential information holders (institutions,
individuals) useful for the national part of the TRB-SDP – creation
of the network database (institutions, individuals, contact data) –
February 18, 2002.
The list of key partners
is under development (using
newly approved Excel database
system by Tisza-Samos kht.)
c.
Development of the structure/contents for the national
meta-database on the TRB-SDP – in co-operation with the other NC-s
and project management by January 24.
A list of acts
related to environmental protection in Slovakia is attached .
d.
Collection of the opinions of experts about the most
crucial data sources/events (e.g., on
legislation
documents, running plans), expressed during personal meetings or in
correspondence
– till March 13.
e.
Collection of the meta-data relevant for the development
of the TRB-SDB using the established network and the meta-database contents
– draft report by March 20.
